Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head - Learning & Development (L&D) who is responsible for leading and managing the institution’s learning initiatives with a strong focus on Student outcome and overall student competency development. This senior role is responsible for strategically designing, implementing, and overseeing all professional development and training programs across the entire group, while also serving as a Senior Soft Skills Trainer and managing the overall training function.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the Learning & Development strategy aligned with the institution’s vision and Student outcome objectives.
• Strategize and integrate the latest technological advancements, including Artificial Intelligence, to enhance the quality and effectiveness of student training programs.
• Design annual training calendars and structured development programs.
• Conduct institution-wide Training Need Analysis to identify competency gaps.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate internal and external trainers.
• Support holistic student growth under Student outcome initiatives.
• Manage the L&D budget, vendor relationships, and resources efficiently to deliver high-quality, scalable training solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Heads of Departments, Principals, and HR across the institutions to ensure consistent adoption and impact of L&D initiatives.
• Serve as the Senior Trainer for critical soft skills, leadership, communication, and behavioral programs aimed at faculty, administrative staff, and students.
• Provide executive coaching and mentorship to high-potential staff and management teams within the group.
• Drive initiatives for communication skills, soft skills, technical skills, leadership, and employability enhancement.
• Roll out diverse learning programs using blended methodologies (e.g., workshops, e-learning, coaching, simulations).
• Prepare periodic reports for management review and continuous improvement.
• Establish and monitor KPIs and evaluation metrics to measure the effectiveness.
• Research and implement modern EdTech tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to enhance the scalability and accessibility of training programs.
Desired Candidate Profile:
• Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, Education or a related field. Certification in Training & Development / Learning & Development is preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or Training, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing multiple business units or institutions.
• Proven track record as a highly effective Senior Trainer with expertise in soft skills, behavioral change and leadership development.
• Excellent strategic planning, budgeting, team management, and project execution skills.
• Ability to track KPIs, measure training effectiveness, and prepare management reports.
• Exceptional presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills required to engage senior leadership and diverse learner groups.

The department leads strategic communications, brand governance, and media outreach across PSG institutions, reaching audiences through print, digital, and outdoor media. It also produces content across formats including video, and supports training and placement initiatives across select PSG institutions.
