Job Summary:
The Training & Placement Division is seeking a results-oriented and highly organized Associate Placement Officer to actively support student placement and internship activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage with industry representatives to understand hiring needs
• Proactively reach out to attract recruiters to campus
• Facilitate both short-term and long-term student internships
• Manage placement data with accuracy and confidentiality
• Maintain detailed records of all placement and internship activities
• Prepare analytical reports for reviews and assessments
• Build and sustain strong relationships with recruiters and industry partners
• Organise pre-placement talks, guest lectures, and industry sessions
• Update and manage the placement portal with real-time information
• Act as the primary liaison between students and recruiters
• Support onboarding and ensure smooth joining of selected candidates
• Track student placement progress and internship completion
• Coordinate with alumni for referrals and mentorship opportunities
• Gather feedback from recruiters and students to improve processes
• Plan and execute on-campus and off-campus placement drives
• Manage extended and flexible working hours during peak placement periods
Desired Candidate Profile:
• Any Undergraduate (UG) degree. A Postgraduate (PG) degree is preferable.
• 3 – 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a corporate relations or placement setting.
• Good organizational and management skills, coupled with excellent time management abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective industry interaction and student counselling.
• Strong aptitude for data management.
• Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential and will be an added advantage.

The department leads strategic communications, brand governance, and media outreach across PSG institutions, reaching audiences through print, digital, and outdoor media. It also produces content across formats including video, and supports training and placement initiatives across select PSG institutions.
